Relying on the ability of CNC system to process data quickly, multi-channel and fast signal acquisition and processing of error parts are carried out, and then logical analysis and judgment are carried out by the diagnostic program to determine whether there is a fault in the system and locate the fault in time. Modern CNC system self-diagnostic functions can be divided into the following two categories:
1) Power-on self-diagnosis Power-on self-diagnosis means that from the beginning of each power-on until entering the normal operation readiness state, the diagnostic program within the system automatically performs the functional test before the operation of the CPU, memory, bus, I/O units and other modules, printed circuit boards, CRT units, photoelectric readers and floppy disk drives. Check whether the main hardware of the system works properly.
2) Fault information When a fault occurs during the operation of the machine tool, the number and content will be displayed on the CRT monitor. According to the prompts, consult the relevant maintenance manual to confirm the cause of the failure and troubleshooting methods. In general, the richer the fault information prompted by the CNC machine tool diagnosis function, the more convenient it is for fault diagnosis. However, it should be noted that some faults can be directly confirmed according to the fault content prompt and refer to the manual; The real cause of some faults is inconsistent with the fault content, or a fault shows multiple fault causes, which requires maintenance personnel to find out the internal connection between them and indirectly confirm the cause of the fault.
